Hugh Grant recently shared some emotional insights about the upcoming Bridget Jones sequel titled Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, based on Helen Fielding's novel. In this fourth installment, the story follows Bridget, played by Renée Zellweger, as she navigates life as a single mother after the death of her husband, Mark Darcy. Grant revealed that the film is not just a lighthearted comedy but also has a deeply emotional side, describing it as both "very funny" and "very sad." He even mentioned that parts of the script had him in tears, emphasizing the mix of humor and sorrow that fans can expect.
Grant reprises his role as Daniel Cleaver, though he admitted there was "no obvious role" for him this time, and his character has been creatively added back into the story after being presumed dead in the previous film. The new film will debut in theaters on Valentine's Day 2025, with high expectations from fans for another emotional rollercoaster in the Bridget Jones saga
